Primark Distribution Centre
The building of 1,000,000ft2 warehouse and 50,000ft2 offices and approximately 800,000ft2 mezzanines is adjacent to the A14 near Islip and was designed for developer Mulberry and occupier Primark.
There was a 12 month earthworks package to plateau and prepare the site as there was a 15m fall across the site.
The warehouse has a 16m haunch allowing 3 levels of mezzanine over the main despatch yard.
Within the footprint of the warehouse is a 3 storey office of 50,000sqft. Site provision includes a recycling centre, gatehouse, lorry wash and fuelling facilities.
We were further involved in the coordination and fit-out of the multi-level, complex and fast-track MHE systems to suit Primark requirements.
