GE R&D Facilities, Interiors

Already leading on two bespoke buildings totalling 382,000ft² R&D and production facility for GE, pHp Architects were also appointed as interior designers to create an engaging and stimulating environment for staff and visitors.

The facility provides many different functions including R&D laboratories, production space, training facilities, product showcase, restaurant and offices. Our task was to provide an identity for each of these spaces incorporating way finding from one to the other.

We developed our design by taking inspiration from the printed circuit boards & electronic components created by GE. These miniature works of art were scaled up to create a strong identity with clear articulation of spaces and routes between.
