Dachser

The development in Brackmills is on an important and prominent Gateway site on the rural edge of Northampton, very visible from a major trunk road roundabout. It comprises two buildings, one for Dachser, with the design arrangement based on German prototypes and a speculative 110,000ft2 distribution warehouse.

The Dachser building is split into a main warehouse with 12m haunch, with an attached lower re-packing and despatch area, totalling 180,000ft2. A third building element is the 21,000ft2 office with design features including cladding in Dachser’s colours of bright blue and yellow, articulated in metallic greys.

On the adjoining site the speculative building of 110,000ft2 has a feature office elevation facing the roundabout which is repeated at the opposite end without the glazing to create two bold ends to the building.​
