The enlarged stadium includes three new stands replacing existing spectator areas and increased the stadium capacity to 13,500.

The work was carried out in 3 phases, over successive close seasons. The new East Stand incorporates hospitality boxes, conference and office suites, family lounge and a 25 metre long bar. The South and West stands provide training and match day facilities including changing areas, physiotherapy and rehabilitation, warm-up areas and further bars.

Key design features contributing to success are enclosed corners and the retention of some terracing in the new stands, which create a great match day atmosphere.

Remaining stadium and hospitality areas are to be redeveloped in a new North Stand in 2014, bringing the stadium capacity to over 15,000.
